About New Economy Business Park

About a Vision

When a vision takes flight, the goal is to make it a reality. The Moltoni Group, a major demolition contractor/developer active in Australia and the Pacific Rim, had a vision. They set out to find an undeveloped site in Pennsylvania that could be transformed into a mixed-use development.

In 2004, after exploring more than 20 locations, Moltoni Group and its redevelopment expert Rob Moltoni, selected an 80-acre site in Ambridge, Pennsylvania, between 11th and 18th Streets, which suited their needs perfectly: flat terrain, a central location, with convenient access to highways, river, and rail.

To ensure timely progress and garner development support, the Moltoni Group formed a public/private strategic partnership that grew to include: Pittsburgh Mineral & Environmental Technology, Inc., a 30-year-old international company that is the overall project manager from inception to date; and Castlebrook Development Group, a leader in Pennsylvania commercial real estate development with a stellar track record of performance across Beaver County.

Additional support came from The Redevelopment Authority of Beaver County, Board of Commissioners, and Beaver County Legislative Delegation. This unique alliance of government and community leaders and experienced developers worked in tandem to bring New Economy Business Park to fruition.

Staying true to commitments to sustainability and being stewards of the environment

All project phases and subsequent demolition and remediation strictly adhered to the guidelines of the Department of Environmental Protection. For example:

The vision has become a reality with New Economy Business Park. And, as site development progresses toward full occupancy, New Economy Business Park will provide a significant boost to Ambridge by increasing employment, improving the tax base, raising adjacent property values, and spurring additional investment in the community and surrounding areas.
